Overview
Viking Data Centers develops large-scale, energy-ready infrastructure supporting AI and crypto workloads. The goal of this project was to create a visual system that could clearly communicate scale, reliability, and long-term capacity to investors, partners, and enterprise audiences.
The work focused on translating abstract concepts like megawatts, substations, and future expansion into a clear, credible, and visually legible story. The result is a modular design system that balances technical precision with clarity across digital, print, and physical environments.
The Challenge
AI infrastructure is often discussed abstractly, focusing on software and innovation while ignoring the physical systems that make it possible. Viking needed to communicate massive energy capacity, site readiness, and long-term scalability without relying on technical jargon or generic stock visuals.
The challenge was to make infrastructure feel tangible, investable, and trustworthy across platforms while maintaining a modern, forward-looking tone.
I led the visual direction and digital design for Viking Data Centers, shaping a cohesive system that translated complex AI infrastructure into a clear, credible narrative.
While the brand identity and guidelines were being developed, I worked closely with the Creative Director to extend the emerging identity across the website, investor collateral, motion, and campaign assets, ensuring consistency, momentum, and clarity across platforms while balancing technical accuracy with visual restraint.
The Idea
AI runs on physical infrastructure. The brand needed to demonstrate where intelligence truly resides.
The visual language positions Viking not as a hype-driven AI company, but as a foundational partner building the systems that support long-term growth.
The Approach
Rather than treating the website, video, brochure, and ads as separate executions, the work was designed as a connected system. Each asset reinforces the same story of scale, energy readiness, and future expansion.
The system includes:
• A narrative-driven enterprise website
• A concise two-page investor brochure
• LinkedIn ads are extending the core visual language
• Modular graphics for presentations and environmental use
• Video asset for Consensus Conference, Toronto, 2025
Each element works independently while remaining part of a cohesive whole.
Website Design
The website serves as the primary storytelling platform, guiding users through Viking’s infrastructure, capacity growth, and site readiness. Interactive sections and visual diagrams break down complex data into an accessible narrative while reinforcing trust and scale.
Two-Pager Brochure
A two-page investor brochure distills Viking’s story into a concise, structured narrative. The design prioritizes hierarchy, clarity, and credibility, supporting institutional conversations and presentations.
LinkedIn Ads
Short-form digital ads extend the visual system into paid social placements. The ads maintain the same visual language and tone, prioritizing clarity and authority over simplification.
Graphics & Visual Language
The graphic system includes abstract infrastructure diagrams, energy flows, and modular shapes that reinforce the brand across formats. Colour is used as data, not decoration, helping guide attention and signal scale.
Video Content
Consensus Conference, Toronto 2025
To support Viking Data Centers’ presence at the Bitcoin Mining Summit in Toronto, a short-form motion piece was developed to introduce the brand in a live, high-attention setting.
The video distills Viking’s core narrative into a dynamic visual story, translating infrastructure, energy flow, and future capacity into motion-led graphics designed for large screens and fast-moving conference environments. The piece reinforces credibility and scale while maintaining clarity in a crowded, hype-driven AI space.
The video was designed to work as a standalone brand moment and as an extension of the broader visual system used across web, print, and digital channels.
Impact
• Translated highly complex infrastructure, energy, and AI concepts into a clear, confident visual system that made Viking’s value tangible to investor and enterprise audiences.
• Established a cohesive brand and communication system across web, investor collateral, paid social, and environmental graphics, ensuring consistency at every touchpoint.
• Strengthened Viking’s positioning as a credible, future-ready data infrastructure partner by balancing technical accuracy with modern, restrained storytelling.
• Enabled leadership teams to communicate scale, capacity, and long-term growth with clarity, supporting high-stakes conversations around investment, expansion, and AI readiness.
Outcome
The result is a scalable design system that communicates infrastructure, energy capacity, and future growth with confidence. The work demonstrates how complex technical subjects can be translated into clear, compelling narratives without sacrificing credibility.
Building trust at the foundation of the AI economy.
